Founded in 1996 this Cape Town institution has been recently revamped and designed by its original architect and world renowned designed Stefan Antoni.
It’s not easy to improve on a winning formula, but the Italian – style restaurant Balducci has done it with a mod makeover. The new Balducci restaurant is a fusion of contemporary design, combining a modern African graphic with a monochromatic palette and raw, industrial finishes. Stained oak feature walls and screens divide the space into niche dining areas, transforming the original classic restaurant into a place where both foodies and design aficionados meet.

Even so the popular menu has and Italian thread, it caters for everyone and serves an array of choices from great grain fed signature burgers to wet and dry aged beef and a huge selection of freshly caught fish and shellfish. Attached to Balducci’s is the Best kept secret on the Waterfront, the Asian Tapas, Noodle and sushi bar.

The sushi here is the McCoy. The best. Only fresh authentic ingredients are used by our brigade of Japanese and Asian Chefs led by Daniel Yao.
The Asian Noodle & Sushi Bar also serves authentic noodles prepared in an Asian wok, together with other specialities developed for us using imported ingredients which includes, tempura, teriyaki, Robatayaki and Teppanyaki. Spoil yourself and be treated to the very best!

A cool and trendy burger joint at the popular V&A Waterfront, specialising in gourmet burgers and ribs and 57 handspun ‘wow’ shakes. Setting out on a quest to create ‘The Best Burger’, we visited the top burger joints in the ‘Burger Capitals of the World’ – Chicago, New York and Las Vegas, and then tapped into the expertise of Belthazar’s Master Butcher, our 27 years’ of experience in making sauces at our SABS HACCP factory, and feedback from hundreds of burger tastings with colleagues, friends and customers.
The result was the creation of ‘the Ultimate Burger’. Surrounding this is a stylish modern setting created by award-winning designer, Adam Court (ex Stefan Antoni). Gibson’s is a spacious ubercool spot with indoor and alfresco dining with views of the harbour, situated just a few doors down from sister restaurants Belthazar and Balducci. The ambience is super-chilled and the service slick.
Our vision at Walters is for local Capetonians to be able to enjoy world class steaks and BBQ and our new menu “ with a twist” right here in Cape Town. Walters is a BBQ Grill and Steakhouse for locals to hang out (and others) and enjoy our export quality beef and other menu items that made our sister restaurant famous in a small and cosy environment!
Run & owned by world-famous Belthazar Restaurant and Wine Bar – the biggest wine by the glass bar in the world, Walter’s is a local grill with a twist. Walter’s will offer traditional triple A grade export quality grills, burgers, salads and fish and also something different!
These items will include freshly made falafel, New York style Hot Beef on Rye, Chopped Herring on Rye, Chilli Con Carne and our signature chicken soup.
