Sherwyn has been a loyal member of the team since joining in 2006 and is an enthusiastic and passionate member of our team. He assumes responsibility for quality control, training and implementation of protocol amongst the group’s restaurants.

He also plays an important role in procurements and supply chain as well as overseeing the group’s central kitchen.

Prior to joining the group, Sherwyn worked in London.

Rikus Lerm
Financial Manager

Rikus is a graduate of the University of Stellenbosch has a BAcc degree.

Rikus is the Group Financial manager who leads the administration team responsible for the Slick Restaurant group of companies and it’s property arm. He has invaluable experience in accounting standards specifically in the hospitality industry.

Doron Gavin Duveen
Operations Director/CFO

Doron qualified with a Bachelor degree in Cost and Management Accounting in 1997 and started his working career with the group.

Doron is a director of the Slick Restaurant Group of companies and over and above being Ian’s business partner is a close friend of Ian.

He is a hands-on operator and drives the administration, operations and supply chain for the group.

Doron has a natural feel for working with food and is an instrumental part of the successful team

Together with Ian, Doron has an incredible “eye for detail”.

Ian Halfon
Group Managing Director

Alumni of the University of Cape Town, London Business School as well as Harvard Business School in Boston USA, Ian majored in Economics and Business Administration. Ian has also attended a programme at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

He was the recipient amongst other awards of the IMM Marketer of the year award in 1996.

Ian has been a member of the Young President’s Organisation since 1995 and has also participated in serveral Executive Committee/Governance positions including being appointed to the YPO Gold African Regional Board as Networks Chair.

Ian has been part of the restaurant scene for over 30 years and founded the Slick Restaurant Group in 1997.

He is extremely passionate and has natural eye for detail. This together with his love for what he does is one of the fundamental building blocks responsible for the group’s success.

My love for art and music has provided me with a natural intuition as well as an eye for detail which has not only separated me from others but has been instrumental in my success. I always persevere in whatever I do and am passionate about my work, but at the same time ooze with enthusiasm.”
